Top TWO banking apps for 2021

Banking have evolved over the years. Nigeria have not been left out. Recently, some banks were giving licenses to bank in Nigeria and they have gone ahead to become trailblazers in the fintech sector.

In this article, I will be showing you my top two banking or better still, fintech apps for banking that are both economical and stress free.

But first, why are the apps my top two?

📌 No bank charges
Having a bank that have no bank charges is huge this year, as most tradition banks tend to charge for any sms they send, including birthday sms (YES! They do!).

📌Easy to open and maintain:
Opening of these bank accounts are so easy. It can be done in minutes. One just need a device, a good network connection, an email, a phone number and boom! You have a legit bank account.

📌Bank level security
All the apps have bank level security on their app. You need not worry about your money. They are as safe as it can be.

📌Free ATM card
Guess what? All of these banks have free ATM card, delivered to your home address without extra charges! Which traditional banking institution will offer that? Hardly any. Most can have it done in their offline office in a day but actually none can have it shipped to your location.

📌Free transfers

It is an open secret that making transfers with traditional banking institutions in Nigeria comes with a "transfer charge" but these fintech companies have no such thing.

Now, what are those banks? Here are my top three.

KUDA BANK
Beautiful called the "bank of the free" have been offering banking service for a while now. Actually started in 2019 but it not that well known. Last year, I wrote about the benefits of using Kuda.

Opening any account with Kuda is very easy and straightforward.

2. Then input the details needed. It usually asks for an email, a phone number, your bio data and your Bank Verification Number (BVN).
3. Use the referral code VSEFL9F
4. Just like that, you have a account number.

When banking with Kuda, you get
1. Twenty five free transfers every month
2. Free ATM card shipped to your location
3. No bank charges, which also includes sms alerts because are your alerts are in-app and through your email
4. You can also link your Payooer account to the account and get your payments from abroad straight to your account.

VFD BANK
V by VFD Microfinance Bank is one of the best fintech offerings you can get right now in Nigeria. This bank is highly recommended for my fellow students. It is made for the youth at heart. Also last year, I made mention of this bank and wrote extensively on what it offers.

Opening an account with VFD BANK is also very simple and easy.
1. Download the app from your app store. For Android users, click HERE. For iPhone users, click HERE.
2. Then input details asked for, usually your email, phone number, bio data and your BVN.
